When it comes to the holidays, one iconic superhero has a tradition of dressing up in the ugliest sweater possible. Batman is no stranger to this holiday tradition, and he’s brought it over to the DC Extended Universe with Justice League.
Injustice 2 released last year and introduced the concept of a holiday event called “The Dark Nights Saga.” This event includes a new costume for Batman that was inspired by The Dark Knight Returns graphic novel. The look features a green and black suit with a green utility belt and a pointed hood.
This year’s Justice League Christmas Ugly Sweater is based on The Dark Knight Returns sequel, Return of the Joker. The outfit features a red and green suit with red gloves, boots, and an orange utility belt. The mask is made out of cardboard and covered in electrical tape so that it can light up like The Joker’s own suit does in the movie.
