Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom Take the Plunge Together—Literally
The couple has been inseparable since 2016.
Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry have just pulled off a daring feat that could rival any Tom Cruise stunt.
On Monday, Perry shared a video of the couple jumping out of a helicopter and plunging into the ocean, all while her song “Lifetimes” played in the background. She captioned the video with lyrics from the track: “Like the stars are in the sky / You and I will find each other / In every single life.”
Perry and Bloom’s love story began in 2016 when they met at the Golden Globes. They became engaged in 2019 and share a daughter, Daisy, who will turn 4 on August 26. Bloom also has a 13-year-old son, Finn, from his previous marriage to model Miranda Kerr, who happens to be a fan of Perry.
Back in February, Perry announced that she would be stepping down as a judge on American Idol after seven years. She’s also been busy recording a new album, her first in nearly four years, which is set to drop next month. A well-deserved vacation was clearly on the agenda.
Earlier this year, the couple collaborated on the Peppa Pig Wedding Party Special, lending their voices to characters in the animated show.
In an April interview, Bloom reflected on what makes their relationship work, crediting their shared pasts and personal growth.
“I think we both understand where we came from, what we worked to achieve, and the challenges we faced to get here,” he told ABC News. “Katy pushes me to evolve, and I like to think I do the same for her.”
Bloom admitted that their relationship isn’t always smooth sailing, drawing a playful comparison to one of Perry’s hit songs.
“That dynamic creates fireworks, if you’ll pardon the pun, but it also brings a lot of joy and growth,” he said. “I wouldn’t trade it for anything.”
The Pirates of the Caribbean star, who will next appear in the movie Wizards!, shared that the couple likes to stay grounded by engaging in active pursuits like biking or building sandcastles.
