Bruce Springsteen Sets the Record Straight on Farewell Tour Rumors: ‘I Ain’t Going Anywhere’

Bruce Springsteen is putting an end to rumors about his retirement and a potential farewell tour. During a recent performance at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, the rock legend took the opportunity to address these speculations directly.

“We’ve been around 50 f—ing years and we ain’t quitting!” Springsteen declared emphatically in footage shared on social media. “We ain’t doing no farewell tour bulls—! Jesus Christ! No farewell tour for the E Street Band!”

The 20-time Grammy winner, who was seen smiling and laughing, made it clear he wasn’t planning to step away from the stage anytime soon.

“Hell no… Farewell to what? Thousands of people screaming your name? Yeah, I wanna quit that,” he joked, gesturing to the cheering crowd. “That’s it. That’s all it takes. I ain’t goin’ anywhere.”

Springsteen’s comments come amid rising speculation about his future, particularly after several health-related delays. Over the past year, he’s postponed multiple concerts due to health issues, including rescheduling three European shows in May due to vocal problems.

Last fall, he also postponed all of his 2023 tour dates from September to the end of the year due to peptic ulcer disease. At the time, he expressed gratitude to his fans for their support, stating, “Thanks to all my friends and fans for your good wishes, encouragement, and support. I’m on the mend and can’t wait to see you all next year.”
