Joy Behar Expresses Election Anxiety on ‘The View’: ‘I Can’t Take This Anymore’
Joy Behar, a longtime co-host on The View, openly admitted to feeling overwhelmed just 12 days before the 2024 presidential election.
During Thursday’s episode, Behar, known for her outspoken criticism of Donald Trump, reached her breaking point when the panel discussed undecided voters. The conversation was sparked after moderator Whoopi Goldberg introduced a clip of voter Pam Thistle from CNN’s recent town hall with Vice President Kamala Harris. In the clip, Thistle criticized both political parties for engaging in personal attacks, saying it felt like “high school gossip” and that voters didn’t care about the mudslinging.
Behar quickly responded, pointing out that Trump initiated the name-calling and defending Harris, who she felt was unfairly criticized. “Trump is the one who started calling people names. Kamala did not,” Behar said. “Now he’s saying Kamala is stupid… She’s not supposed to respond to that?”
As the discussion continued, Behar directed her frustration toward undecided voters. “This business, ‘I’m still on the fence.’ Get off the fence, already,” she exclaimed. “It’s a presidential candidate with credentials versus some kind of a nutcase. Stop with the fence, already. I’m sick of it. I can’t take this anymore.” Behar even joked that she was “having a breakdown” and eagerly looked forward to election day so she could sleep peacefully again.
Despite the heated moment, Behar smiled as the cohosts continued their discussion. The segment ended with Goldberg reminding Trump, once again, that he lost the 2020 election.

Behar’s frustrations this week weren’t limited to politics. On Monday’s Behind the Table podcast, she humorously vented about the frustrations she faces with “bad packaging” on shampoo bottles in the shower.
