Carrie and Dan had always wanted a Jedi baby, and when they found out they were expecting, they knew it would have to be special. They started looking for items that would make Baby Yoda feel like a Jedi Knight. They found an air force falcon sweatshirt that fit the bill perfectly and started calling him Baby Jedi Falcon.
When Baby Yoda was born, he looked just like his father with green eyes, light brown hair, and a little bit of drool on his chin! Everyone who has met Baby Yoda loves him – even the ugly Christmas sweater he wore in his first photo shoot!
Where is Baby Yoda from?
Baby Yoda is an adorable Groot from the “Guardians of the Galaxy” movie franchise. He was created by artist Stephen McFeely and writer Christopher Markus, and made his first appearance in the 2011 film, “Guardian of the Galaxy.” Baby Yoda is a member of the Eternals, a race of godlike beings that live on Titan.
The Groot character was based on a sculpture by artist Jason DeCaires Taylor, which was purchased by Marvel Studios for use in the film. McFeely and Markus considered several names for Baby Yoda before settling on Groot, based on a line uttered by Rocket Raccoon (voiced by Bradley Cooper) in the film: “He’s just a little tree-y thing.”
Despite his diminutive size, Baby Yoda is powerful and fierce fighter. He assists his fellow Guardians in defending Earth from various threats, most notably Ronan The Accuser (Lee Pace), who battles the team multiple times throughout the films.
