The History of the Kiss Band
Kiss was formed in 1973 in New York City. The original lineup consisted of vocalist/guitarist Paul Stanley, bassist Gene Simmons, guitarist Ace Frehley, and drummer Peter Criss. The band has undergone multiple lineup changes over the years, with Stanley and Simmons being the only constant members. Kiss released their self-titled debut album in 1974 to moderate success. However, it was their second album, ‘Hotter Than Hell’, which established them as a force to be reckoned with in the rock world. The album featured the hits “Firehouse” and “Strutter”, and cemented Kiss as a household name.
Over the next few years, Kiss released a string of successful albums including ‘Destroyer’, ‘Rock and Roll Over’, and ‘Love Gun’. They also embarked on several highly successful tours, including their now infamous 1976 tour of Japan where they played to sold out arenas across the country. In 1978, Kiss released their first film, ‘Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park’. Although the movie was panned by critics, it was a huge hit with fans.
By the early 1980s, Kiss had become one of the biggest bands in the world. They were regularly appearing on magazine covers and their face paint-clad image was instantly recognizable. In 1982, they released their tenth studio album,’Creatures of the Night’. The album was a return to form for Kiss after a few years of commercial disappointment and marked a

To celebrate the band’s 40th anniversary, the original members of Kiss signed a red Hawaiian shirt. The shirt was designed by Stanley, and the signature was added by Frehley. The shirt is available in sizes S-4XL.
