Steps to make the Harry Potter ugly sweater
For the first time ever, there’s a Harry Potter ugly sweater! This sweater is made out of heavy worsted wool and it’s sure to keep you warm on those cold winter days. The sweaters are available in sizes small to XXL and they’re all officially licensed by Warner Bros. Pictures.
To make your own Harry Potter ugly sweater, you’ll need:
1) Heavyworsted wool yarn (50-75 yards) in color A
2) Size 10 circular knitting needle
3) Stitch marker
4) Tapestry needle
5) Worsted weight yarn (for border) in color B
6) Size H crochet hook
7) Black embroidery thread
8) Pins for provisional cast off (optional)
9) Scissors
Step One: Cast on 82 stitches. Place stitch marker at the beginning of the round and join to create a round cord. Round 1: Knit.
Round 2: K1, *P2tog; rep from * around.
Round 3: Purl.
Round 4: K1, M1* (see tutorial here), knit to end of round. [80 stitches]
Round 5: Purl.
Step Two: Change to color B and begin working in the rnds as follows: Rnd 1 (RS): K1, M1*, k1. [81 stitches] Rnd 2
