To make the Ugly Christmas Sweater, first you will need to gather the following materials:
1. A black sweater
2. Yellow felt
3. Black thread
4. Scissors
5. A needle
6. Hot glue gun
7. White pom poms
8. Red ribbon
9. A black marker
10. A piece of cardboard
Assuming you have all of the materials listed above, follow these instructions:
1) Cut a long rectangle out of the yellow felt – this will be used as Darth Vader’s belt.
2) Hot glue the rectangle to the bottom center of the black sweater.
3) Cut two small circles out of the yellow felt – these will be used as Darth Vader’s buttons.
4) Hot glue the circles onto the sweater, just above the beltline.
5) Use black thread to hand-sew a line down the center of the sweater, starting at the neckline and ending at the bottom hem. This will be Darth Vader’s “stitch line”.
6) Tie off and cut the thread when you reach the bottom hem.
7) Flip the sweater over so that the back side is facing up. Use a black marker to draw a simple face onto one of the white pom poms – this will be Darth Vader’s head
