Swindon Town has become the English Football League champions after defeating relegated Bournemouth 3-2 in a penalty shootout. The Ugly Sweater Contest was a big part of the celebrations and this year’s winner is Lenny Henry.
The contest started on the day of the game with people queuing up to get their hands on one of the 40,000 ugliest sweaters that had been made available. Each club gave away 10,000 sweaters and there were also auctions and raffles organised throughout the evening.

The winner of the Ugly Sweater contest is Ryan Shields from Australia! He won a trip for two to any game in the English Football League during the 2017-2018 season!
