Wheel of Fortune Contestant’s Hilarious “Sausage” Slip-Up Leaves Audience in Stitches
A recent episode of Wheel of Fortune had fans in hysterics when a contestant mistakenly filled in the word puzzle with “sausage” where it most certainly didn’t belong.
In a lighthearted post-game chat, contestant Will Jordan, a police officer from Connecticut, humorously reflected on his amusing misstep. “I’m sure I’m going to find sausages in my locker and police car when I get back,” he joked, laughing off the mix-up.
Hosted by Ryan Seacrest, this new edition of the beloved show saw Jordan attempting to solve a nearly completed word puzzle. With only a few letters missing, the answer should have read, “Give yourself a round of applause.” However, as Seacrest prompted him to give his answer, Jordan confidently replied, “Treat yourself a round of sausage.” Unsurprisingly, the response didn’t quite fit.
Reflecting on the moment, Jordan later explained on the show’s TikTok page that nerves played a big role. “When the lights are on, and you’re standing there with Ryan Seacrest and Vanna White, your mind can just go blank,” he admitted. He added, “If my dad, retired and watching, cracked a beer and got a good laugh, it was worth it.”

Seacrest, adding to the fun, gave Jordan an autograph as a memento for his family, and fans online were quick to cheer Jordan on, with one commenter quipping, “Give this man a round of applause,” while another joked, “I’ve been spelling sausage wrong my whole life.”
