Xenomorphs Invade Earth in Alien: Earth Teaser
The iconic Alien franchise is set to break new ground, bringing its terrifying extraterrestrial creatures to Earth in the upcoming FX series Alien: Earth, created by Noah Hawley.
For decades, the Alien films have terrified audiences with the promise that “in space, no one can hear you scream.” But what happens when the deadly Xenomorphs reach Earth? The stakes are higher, the screams louder—and survival just as uncertain.

A Franchise First
Ridley Scott’s original Alien debuted 45 years ago, launching a legendary sci-fi horror series. Over the years, the franchise has explored various settings, from interstellar marine bases and prison colonies to alien planets and mining stations. Yet, until now, the Xenomorphs have never invaded Earth—or ventured beyond movie screens into television.
That changes next summer when FX premieres Alien: Earth. The series, helmed by Fargo creator Noah Hawley, marks the first TV adaptation of the franchise and promises to take the horror to an unprecedented level by setting the story on our home planet.
While the newly released teaser offers only a glimpse of what’s to come, it reveals a chilling vision of Earth in the year 2120, reflected ominously in the faceplate of a Xenomorph. The promotional art further stokes anticipation, reimagining the planet itself as a Xenomorph egg—a haunting nod to the original film’s iconic poster.
A Stellar Cast
The series stars Sydney Chandler, known for her roles in Don’t Worry Darling and Apple TV+’s Sugar. She is joined by an international ensemble cast, including Timothy Olyphant (Justified), Alex Lawther, Essie Davis, Samuel Blenkin, Babou Ceesay, David Rysdahl, Adrian Edmondson, Adarsh Gourav, Jonathan Ajayi, Erana James, Lily Newmark, Diem Camille, and Moe Bar-El.
Exploring New Themes
Originally announced in 2020, Alien: Earth aims to delve into fresh thematic territory. Noah Hawley has expressed his desire to tackle issues of inequality, a concept briefly explored in previous Alien films.
“In mine,” Hawley explained, “you’re also going to see the people who are sending [the spaceship crews]. You will see what happens when the inequality we’re grappling with today remains unresolved. If we, as a society, can’t figure out how to support one another and share resources, what does that mean for our future?”
This perspective promises to add depth to the franchise, focusing not only on the struggles of working-class characters but also on the decision-makers behind the enigmatic Weyland-Yutani Corporation.
