Zachary Levi, Star of Shazam, Endorses Donald Trump at Rally: ‘He’s Gonna Get Us There’

During a rally in Michigan on Saturday, Zachary Levi, known for his role in Shazam, publicly endorsed Donald Trump for the 2024 presidential election. Levi’s appearance was a surprise as he moderated a discussion featuring Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and former Hawaii Representative Tulsi Gabbard.

Levi referenced his superhero persona while explaining his support for Trump, who is running against Vice President Kamala Harris. “I want to share a bit of context about why Shazam is here today,” he said. He detailed his upbringing in a Christian conservative family, noting his parents’ transition from Kennedy Democrats to Reagan Republicans, which instilled in him a healthy skepticism of government and unchecked industry.

Despite having previously expressed support for RFK Jr., Levi stated, “In a perfect world, I would vote for Bobby Kennedy. But we don’t live in a perfect world.” He emphasized the urgent need for change, remarking, “Our country has been hijacked by those who want to drive it off a cliff. We need to stop that.”

Kennedy, who had recently suspended his campaign and endorsed Trump and his running mate JD Vance, had made headlines for his unusual claim about a parasitic worm affecting his brain. At the rally, Levi asserted, “We are here to take back our country, make it great again, and restore its health.” He expressed confidence that Trump could lead the way, citing the support and insight of Kennedy and Gabbard.

Levi has recently drawn attention for his controversial opinions, including his criticism of the SAG-AFTRA strike, which he later retracted. Additionally, he faced backlash earlier this year for suggesting that Pfizer, a COVID-19 vaccine manufacturer, posed “a real danger to the world.” This sparked significant controversy, leading to comments from DC Films co-chairs James Gunn and Peter Safran, who addressed the issue at a press event. Gunn noted, “Actors and filmmakers will express opinions that I may or may not agree with, and I can’t constantly change my plans based on that.”
